Jean Jouy is the pseudonym of an anonymous French illustrator and author of an erotic book compiling a series of poems and short stories. Estimated to be published in 1946, it was printed in a very limited and numbered edition of 275 and Pâme was lucky enough to acquire the book's very first edition out of an auction.
Such collectible erotic books were usually destined to an exclusive group of subscribed members. The selected texts often served as a vehicle to publish explicit illustrations that are meant to pâme their readers.
The name "Jean Jouy", is a deliberate worl play with the French phrase "j'en jouis" meaning " I'm enjoying it". The very "jouir" may also carry a sexual connotation meaning "I'm coming" and essentially referring to the moment of sexual climax. As our brand name's very essence is about that gratifying loss of consciousness, we simply had to resuscitate these hedonistic illustrations on our signature medium of silk.
We invite you to discover these rare and arousing scenes by yourself and can onloy hope they will also pâme you.
